Letter from Founder
Dear Friends,
My journey in healthcare began with humble roots and a deep awareness of the challenges faced by people in Odisha. When I started my medical graduation in 1988, the state’s healthcare system was far from adequate—facilities were minimal, and affordability was a major hurdle. Witnessing the pain and suffering of patients due to lack of access to quality care deeply affected me and planted the seed for a lifelong mission.
As I travelled and trained across the globe—at esteemed institutions like AIIMS, New Delhi; the National Institutes of Health (USA); Johns Hopkins Hospital (USA); Sir Ganga Ram Hospital; and Max Hospital, New Delhi—I came to understand what truly world-class healthcare looks like. My dream was always clear: to bring the best of global healthcare to our people, making it both accessible and affordable, without compromising dignity.
I strongly believe that healthcare is not just about prescriptions and surgeries. It is about comprehensive care—physical and mental—that truly transforms lives. With this conviction, I returned to Odisha in 2010 and took up the role of Head of Neurology at Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar. The same year, I founded Neuro Care Centre (NCC) with a clear vision: to offer advanced neurological services at an affordable cost, with the quality and ethics of corporate healthcare.
Over the past decade, NCC has grown into a trusted name, thanks to its state-of-the-art outpatient services, diagnostic facilities, physiotherapy unit, and advanced neurological labs. Our clean and green campus, enthusiastic staff, and commitment to continuous learning have made a meaningful impact on the lives of thousands.
I owe much of NCC’s success to a dedicated team. Dr. Rashmi Acharya, a pillar of the centre, is known for her compassion and tireless efforts to support the underprivileged. Her work extends beyond the clinic to community service, including outreach in blind schools, rural villages like Bugin Ha, and collaborations with NGOs. She exemplifies our ethos of care beyond walls.
Miss Shivangi, our Clinical Coordinator and Educator, plays a vital role in managing operations and spearheading staff education and training. Together, we have nurtured a culture of innovation and education at NCC.
One such achievement has been the invention of “Ergon,” a patented wearable sensor device developed by Mr. Shreyansh Vikas under our mentorship. As part of a startup initiative led by me, this innovation continues to progress with the goal of enhancing patient care through technology.
Teaching and mentoring remain close to my heart. I take pride in the many students who have trained under me and are now practicing independently as neurologists, neuro technicians, and neuro nurses—contributing passionately to society with skill and sincerity.
As we move forward, I am confident that NCC will continue to evolve, embrace new technologies, and carry forward the values it was built on. I look forward to the next generation taking this vision even further, with renewed purpose and energy.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
