Of course treatment depends on the cause, but most are amenable to treatment. There are several drugs which are prescribed for migraine headaches which can be for acute attacks and many others for prophylaxis. BIH patients are treated with simple medications and rarely they require surgery if conservative management fails. Optic neuritis patients require high dose steroids and subsequent immunosuppressants in case to case basis. Tumors may require surgical correction and other antiedema measures. Stereotactic or near total excisions, hematoma evacuation, decompression craniotomies and many more procedures are undertaken depending on the cause.
