Diagnosis

Besides clinical evaluation, patients are subjected to ascertain the cause, extent, and areas of involvement through various investigations which include CT scan of Head, MRI Brain, CT or MR Angiogram, Carotid Doppler, routine hematological and biochemical tests and specific blood tests to look any abnormality of blood getting clotted inside the body or bleeding due to functional abnormality of clotting factors or liver diseases. Also where ever required they are subjected to ECG, 2D Echo, 24 hr Holter monitoring etc to evaluate underlying cardiac status as well as cause of stroke.
