If the patient deteriorates too fast or the brain pressure is building up rapidly then hematoma evacuation, decompression craniotomy, external ventricular drainage etc. are done to save the life.

Besides, this monitoring the patient by neurocritical care team, for fluid electrolyte and ventilation, hemodynamic stability, monitoring the patients major organ function on minute to minute basis and appropriate mobilization of the team in case of deterioration.
